Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg (Night Shift)Location: Northampton, MAJob Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical unit on the night shift. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care through all phases of the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. This position reports directly to the Nurse Manager or Director and functions within the framework of established policies, procedures, and standards of clinical nursing practice.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the nursing process.Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate documentation.Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment and continuity of care.Respond to medical emergencies and perform life-saving procedures when necessary.Educate patients and their families on health management and post-hospital care.Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (BSN preferred)Current Massachusetts RN licenseBLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association requiredACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – American Heart Association requiredExcellent clinical, organizational, communication, and documentation skillsWhy Join Us:You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive environment focused on professional growth and patient-centered care.
