Care is delivered by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. Leadership is displayed in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care. Clinical competencies must be maintained through continuing education. Delegation of patient care priorities is required, commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available. Direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care is essential. Candidates may be required to float to other units as necessary.
