Immediate Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care contract opportunity with our LTC facility in Nebraska City, NE.Pay:

• $2,146 estimated weekly travel pay package
• Local candidate pay rate: $55/hr
• Mileage reimbursement

• 6:00am – 6:00pm (Day)
• Rotating weekends
• 36/48 hour rotating guarantee

• 6 weeks to start (with option to extend)

• Assess the daily needs of long-term care residents and assign the appropriate staff to meet the nursing care needs of residents on more than one unit on assigned shift.
• Supervise and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing care provided to the resident on the assigned shift and ensure all charting is complete
• Document and update the nursing care plan regarding all changes and needs of the residents.
• Communicate effectively and respond appropriately to issues and concerns of residents and families.
• Initiate and participate in residents/family educational programs.
• Ensure that unit staffing is within established guidelines
• Effectively communicate with nursing supervisor, director and nursing staff all pertinent data and information relevant to nursing resident care, accidents, incidents
• Participate in clinical in-service for nursing staff, including the certification of nursing assistants, orientation of nursing employees and skill development consistent with the needs of the residents on the assigned shift and attend management meetings as directed

• Valid RN license
• At least one year of clinical experience in a long-term care setting
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills
