• Restriction: No clinicians with permanent address within 50 miles of the facility

🏥 Facility Overview

• EMR System: PointClickCare (PCC)
• Patient Population: Geriatrics, Rehab, LTC, Post-Surgical
• Common Diagnoses: Feeding tubes, IV antibiotics, post-surgical care, rehab patients, long-term care

👩‍⚕️ Staffing Ratios

• RN & LPN:
  • LTC: 1:25
  • SNF: 1:13
• CNA: 1:10–15 (aim to stay near 1:10)

🧪 Certifications & Experience

• Required Certification: BLS
• Experience:
  • 1 year required
  • Geriatric experience preferred
  • First-time travelers welcome

💉 Clinical Details

• IVs/Drips:
  • IV antibiotics and fluids
  • No titratable drips
• Job Duties:
  • IVs, assessments, med administration
  • Dressing changes, wound vacs
  • Admissions/discharges (RN only)
  • Treatments when RT unavailable
• CNAs:
  • Vitals, ADLs
  • Do not perform blood sugars

🩺 Medical Team Support

• Physician Coverage:
  • NP on-site M–F
  • Hospitalist coverage after hours
  • Some private MDs follow their own patients
  • On-call provider 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy:
  • On-site M–F
  • AVAP, CPAP, BiPAP usage (mostly at night)
  • Can be continuous in some cases
• Interdisciplinary Team:
  • PT, OT, SLP
  • RT, Social Worker, Wound Care Nurse
  • MDS Nurses, Dietician

💊 Pharmacy

• Availability: 24/7
• Systems: Omnicell & Med carts
  • Omnicell: for new patients/orders
  • Med cart: daily routine meds

⏰ Schedule Details

• Shifts:
  • RN/LPN: 5a–5p
  • CNA: 8 or 12-hour shifts
• Scheduling:
  • Made by management
  • Block scheduling possible if feasible
• Weekend Requirement: Every other
• Holiday Requirement: Every other
• Call/Standby: None
• Floating:
  • May float between units
  • Try to keep consistent during stretch shifts
• Orientation:
  • One 12-hour floor shift
  • Option for more if needed
