This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a facility with a high volume of births. Candidates must have experience managing high-risk patients. The nurse will work night shifts for 12 hours. This role includes every third weekend commitment. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:2. The RN will be responsible for circulating and scrubbing during C-sections. Common responsibilities include managing laboring patients and administering medications such as Pitocin and Cytotec. The nurse should also have experience with epidurals, amnio infusions, and performing versions. Employees must be able to float to postpartum as needed. Charting will be done using EPIC. The scrubs worn will be light blue. This position is vital in providing high-quality maternal care during labor and delivery.
