The nurse will be responsible for providing care during OB Triage, Labor, circulating C-sections, and postpartum couplet care. The role includes transitioning newborns and participating in various nursing duties within the unit. The shifts will consist of three 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts may be required as needed. On-call shifts will occur, averaging 2 shifts per 8-week schedule. Floating to other areas within the department will be required based on patient needs. Our facility is a teaching institution with a total of 268 staffed beds. All employees must adhere to quality and patient safety standards. Candidates are expected to demonstrate competent skills including antepartum care, circulating for C-sections, couplet care, and newborn assessment. The unit sees a high volume of births monthly. Candidates must possess the required certifications listed above. Compliance with hospital policies and guidelines is essential. References will be required prior to the start of the position.
