RN Travel - Labor & Delivery

Location: Waxahachie, TX

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Nights 7pm to 7am

Certification/Degree Requirements: BLS, ALCS, RN, NRP, Fetal MonitoringTop Skills:Minimum 2 years of experience required; must be proficient in circulating and recovering C-sections, managing two laboring patients, triaging, performing vaginal exams, using internal fetal monitors, and documenting in Epic; CPN preferred.

Key Success Factors• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines.• Proficient understanding of medical terminology, medications, risk reduction practices, and illness management strategies.• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, ensuring quality patient care and quick adaptation to changing clinical situations.• Ability to provide age-appropriate, patient-centered care, ensuring respect for diversity and individual needs.• General computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical documentation systems, and scheduling/payroll systems.Qualifications• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.• Licensure/Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on department.• Experience: Previous experience in an inpatient or outpatient healthcare setting preferred.
