The successful candidate will be able to coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaboration with other professional disciplines is essential to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The role involves contributing to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Collecting patient health data is a critical aspect of the role. Analyzing assessment data determines patient problems. Identifying expected outcomes individualized to the patient is essential. Developing a comprehensive plan of care prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes. Implementing interventions identified in the plan of care is a core responsibility. Evaluating patient progress toward attainment of outcomes is vital. Assisting with the plan of care, evaluating, modifying, and coordinating care is necessary. Effective communication with other disciplines is required. Delegating tasks to unlicensed personnel must comply with nursing regulations.
