Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour, Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Two years of experience in ICU - Valid BLS and ACLS certifications - Valid state nursing license Description: Bedside shift reporting, utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required in this unit and all RN units. ICU nurses monitor telemetry for the hospital. Float to medical-surgical and intermediate care units is required. Possible emergency department float. Clinicians will be requested to sign an attestation to confirm they are aware of these requirements during compliance. Experience with Paragon/Allscripts for acute care and T-System for the emergency department is preferred. Responsibilities include managing various medical conditions, administering care to patients with multi-system organ failure, and performing critical interventions. Additional skills required are vent management, central line care, and respiratory therapy support. Nurses will work within an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with various services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Experience in documentations such as obtaining EKGs and managing dysrhythmias is essential. This position requires critical thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Floating within the facility as needed is expected. Required certifications must be completed prior to starting.
