Oral comprehension includes listening to and understanding others. Ability to speak clearly so that others understand. Deductive and inductive reasoning skills are required. Ability to write clearly is essential. Use of technology such as electronic medical records is necessary. Selective attention is needed to concentrate for prolonged periods. Time sharing skills are important to shift back and forth between multiple activities. Manual dexterity is required to manage IV tubing, syringes, and other equipment. Information ordering skills, including medication calculations, are necessary. Ability to work with diverse patient and staff populations. Sensitivity to cultural and spiritual influences impacting patient care is essential. Efficient time management with minimal supervision is required. Weekend rotation may be needed. On-call duties may be assigned if census is low.
