Job Description for Registered Nurse House Supervisor RN House Supervisor provides oversight for nursing staff and patient care activities within a designated area or shift, ensuring safe and appropriate care delivery. They act as a resource for policies and procedures, facilitate communication between departments and staff, and respond to urgent situations. Essentially, they manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit, ensuring a smooth workflow and high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:Supervision and Coordination:Overseeing nursing staff, coordinating patient care activities, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Communication and Collaboration:Facilitating communication between staff members, other departments, and administration, as well as addressing patient/family concerns.

Staff Management:Managing staffing, scheduling, and providing feedback on staff performance. Patient Care and Flow:Ensuring quality patient care, managing patient flow, and facilitating smooth transitions in care.

Resource Management:Acting as a resource for policies, procedures, and clinical expertise, while also addressing urgent situations.

Quality Improvement:Contributing to a safe work environment, promoting service excellence, and striving for optimal patient outcomes.

Administrative Duties:Making administrative decisions in collaboration with clinical leaders and the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications:

Active RN license in Montana.

Experience in direct patient care, ideally with some charge nurse experience.

BSN preferred.

BLS certification.

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
