Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN House Supervisor for a travel nursing job in Birmingham, Alabama.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Delivered high-quality, patient-centered care by adhering to individualized nursing care plans.
• Served as Charge Nurse, responsible for coordinating care, managing unit workflow, and supervising LPNs, NAs, and orientees.
• Performed comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission; developed and implemented individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
• Led weekly care conferences and ensured timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Educated patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning starting at admission.
• Facilitated safe and effective discharges; initiated discharge planning on day one.
• Maintained exceptional communication with the interdisciplinary team, physicians, and family regarding changes in patient condition.
• Actively promoted patient and employee safety, following Select Medical's “10 Foot Circle of Safety” and infection control protocols.
• Delegated duties and supervised ancillary staff while providing mentorship and clinical support.
• Maintained personal and environmental safety per hospital policies and procedures.
• Identified equipment and supply needs; ensured cost-effective care and minimized waste.
• Assumed Charge Nurse responsibilities after completing orientation, contributing to unit leadership and team cohesion.
• Actively participated in professional development, CEUs, and self-study.

Unit: Medical-Surgical / Rehabilitation (Charge Nurse Role)Minimum 2 years of bedside RN experience – Highly desired
