Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 full year of Adult Home Health experience or 1 full year of Hospice experience License: Must have valid nursing license Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Recent specialty experience in Home Health Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and OASIS Description: Provides, coordinates, and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician's orders based on agency policies and procedures. Utilizes the competent application of the nursing process. Responsible for supervising and evaluating Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. Degree of travel includes home visits and periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation and a current driver's license. Agency-required liability insurance is necessary. Average number of patients per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits. Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. The commute to and from the first and last patient is not billable. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Must not be a current direct employee of any affiliated provider. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. No guaranteed hours are provided with this contract. Weekly productivity expectations are set at 30 points, equating to approximately 40 hours of work per week. All overtime must be pre-approved. If receiving insufficient patients each week, opportunities exist to float to nearby facilities to pick up patients. Confirmation of vehicle ownership, driver's license, and auto insurance is essential. Comfort with driving distances that may exceed 20 minutes between patients is required. Understanding that acceptance of every patient assigned is expected is crucial. Declining patients may result in cancellation. Late or incomplete documentation may impact billing and follow-up care, also leading to cancellation.
