Position: Children's Hospital Float Pool (CHFP) RN

Description:The Children's Hospital Float Pool (CHFP) is composed of nurses trained to work across all pediatric areas of the hospital, including:

• Neonatal ICU (NICU)
• Pediatric ICU (PICU)
• General Pediatrics
• Postpartum/Mother-Baby
• Pediatric Emergency Department

CHFP nurses do not have a designated unit. At the start of each shift, assignments are given by the Centralized Nursing Staffing Office or the CHFP Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and may change based on patient or staffing needs.

Patient Population:Ages 0–21 with conditions including, but not limited to:

• Prematurity
• Respiratory illness
• Trauma
• Sepsis
• Post-surgical care
• Neurological disorders
• Complex medical/surgical needs
• Diabetic ketoacidosis

Requirements:

• Epic experience REQUIRED
• Navy blue scrubs required
