TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Newark, New York, 14513! Pay Information $2,039 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: NY license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Charting system experience required (Epic) - Travel experience required Description: First-time travelers approved. No locals please. Candidates will float. General Emergency Department responsibilities include management of dysrhythmias. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Ability to obtain 12 lead EKG. Arterial line management and blood product administration required. Central line care/management and phlebotomy skills necessary. Starting IVs and providing continuous IV sedation is expected. Emergency medications and IV vasopressors management required. Experience with procedural sedation administration. Ability to handle various conditions including CVA and ortho-trauma. Expertise in abdominal pain and asthma management. Skills in identifying and reporting abuse are necessary. Managing mental/behavioral health conditions is essential. Experience with acute psychosis and drug overdose management needed. Skills in managing violent behavior and handling psychiatric holds are required. Ability to work with suicidal patients is necessary. Chest tube insertion/management skills needed. Knowledge of CPAP/BiPAP and interpretation of ABGs is expected. Experience with intubation and care of ventilated patients required. Adherence to isolation precautions is required.
