Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Room License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience with a patient ratio of 1:6 Must-Have: Familiarity with the Epic charting system Description: Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. This role requires working night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. You will care for patients with a wide spectrum of diagnoses, including pediatric to geriatric services. The average daily census includes approximately 23 visits. You will handle various medical challenges, including stabilization of critical care patients until transfer. Special procedures may include administration of cardiac and insulin drips, central line placement, and triage. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential, including respiratory services and pharmacy. Weekend coverage will be required as needed, with a schedule that may involve shifts every other weekend. Candidates should be prepared to manage a variety of patient care scenarios, including isolation precautions and ventilated patients. Experience in managing dysrhythmias, central line care, and using IV vasopressors is essential. All requests for time off must be included upon application.
