Job SummaryThe Travel ER Registered Nurse provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room. This role requires quick decision-making, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ER setting.
- Monitor and record patient symptoms and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Active RN license in the state of Virginia or compact state.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in travel nursing.
- TNCC certification.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Hospital-based ER environment.
- 12-hour day shifts.
- May require weekend and holiday coverage.
- Fast-paced and high-stress situations.
