Job Title: Travel RN – Emergency Room (ER) Facility: Frye Regional Medical Center Location: Hickory, North Carolina Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Position Summary: Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team for day shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients with urgent and emergent medical needs.

• Emergency Department: 32 beds
• Inpatient Rehabilitation: 29 beds

• Frye South Campus includes an 81-bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department
• Triage and assess patients, initiating appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience in an acute care setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS and TNCC preferred)
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work independently

Additional Details:

• Orientation is bi-weekly
• Local Rate: $42.60/hour
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
