Job Title: Dialysis RNLocation: Rochester, NY 14626Start Date: 09/07, 09/14Assignment Length: 13 weeksShift: Day, 4x10-Hour (07:00 – 17:00)

• Perform initiation, setup, and management of dialysis treatments.
• Cannulate AV fistulas and AV grafts, and manage tunneled/non-tunneled catheter access.
• Operate and troubleshoot dialysis equipment including 20008T Fresenius and Prismaflex machine for CRRT.
• Monitor patients throughout treatment, addressing complications such as hypotension, fluid overload, cardiac arrest, air emboli, clotting, or filter blood leaks.
• Administer blood and blood products during dialysis.
• Recognize and respond to machine alarms (blood pump, venous/arterial pressure, conductivity, temperature, ultrafiltration, etc.).
• Provide patient education and support for symptom management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic or other charting systems.
• Uphold infection control standards and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.

• Active RN license (state requirements apply).
• BLS certification (required).
• Minimum 1 year dialysis RN experience, including charge or team lead responsibilities.
• Proficiency in acute inpatient dialysis preferred; outpatient dialysis experience accepted.
• Strong knowledge of dialysis complications, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system preferred.
• Travel nursing experience not required.

• Blood glucose monitoring and symptom management during treatment.
• Troubleshooting dialysis machine alarms.
• Expertise in managing complications: hyperkalemia, hemolysis, seizures, pericarditis, chest pain, muscle cramps, etc.
• Patient-centered care and strong communication skills.
