Schedule & Assignment Details
  • Start Date: 08/20/2025

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience with:
    • Scrub & circulating duties (mandatory).
    • CVOR (Cardiovascular OR) experience (required).
    • IV insertion & phlebotomy skills.
    • Conscious sedation experience.

Certifications & Licensure:

  • Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required).
  • AHA BLS & ACLS (required).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Procedural Expertise:
    • Pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient management.
    • Sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and assisting surgeons.
    • Emergency response (e.g., hemorrhage control, rapid transfusions).
  • Patient Care:
    • Monitoring anesthesia/sedation.
    • Handling high-acuity cases (trauma, cardiovascular, etc.).
Unit & Surgical Details
  • Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center (Bellevue Hospital).
  • Case Mix: Likely includes complex trauma, vascular, and general surgeries (CVOR focus).
  • Team Structure: Collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs.
