Schedule

Preference for 36 hours/week; shifts include 4x10 or 3x12 hours (7am - 5:30pm; 7am - 7:30am). Availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit is required.

Job Description

The Cath Lab RN will be responsible for providing care in inpatient and outpatient procedural labs, focusing on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients. The position involves collaborating with a comprehensive nursing staff and cardiovascular technicians to achieve excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Administer pre and post-procedural care in the Cath lab and EP lab settings.
• Assist with various cardiac interventions including TAVR, Watchman, and MitraClip procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions throughout the procedure.
• Utilize critical care knowledge in the management of patients requiring advanced cardiovascular support.
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding patient care and interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Cath Lab experience is required.
• Valid RN License in New York.
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications are required.
• Trained in moderate sedation and knowledgeable in dysrhythmia and telemetry.
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support including ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD.
• Expertise in structural heart procedures involving TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, and other interventions.
• Critical care or cardiac experience is required.
