Requirements:

• Experience:
  • Psychiatric nursing experience (geriatric focus preferred)
  • Medical-surgical background to manage co-morbid conditions
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Active Georgia RN license
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification – required
• Strong ability to assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive patient care addressing both psychiatric and medical needs.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, compassionate care for geriatric psychiatric patients with additional medical needs.
• Monitor and manage chronic and acute medical conditions alongside psychiatric treatment.
• Assist with mobility support, fall prevention, and rehabilitation needs.
• De-escalate and manage behavioral situations using CPI techniques.
• Document and report patient progress accurately.
