Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Part-Time)

Start Date: ASAPContract Type: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)Tentative Hours: 24 hours weekly (2 shifts/week + 2 On-Call shifts every 4 weeks)Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (12*2) – 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday rotation)Weekends/On-Call: Rotational weekends and holidays + 2 On-Call shifts every 4 weeks

Position Details

Education:

• Currently licensed by New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)

Mandatory Documents/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or RQI
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or RQI
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA or RQI
• Stroke Certification (NIHSS) – AHA or RQI

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required

Key Skills:

• Triage patients according to Emergency Severity Index (ESI) guidelines
• Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary patient assessments
• Promptly identify and act on deviations from normal health status
• Implement and monitor invasive and non-invasive interventions
• Recognize psychosocial and cultural needs; screen for domestic violence and abuse
• Educate patients and families on procedures, treatments, and discharge care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain patient-centered care
• Ensure infection prevention and safeguard public health
• Update patient communication boards and maintain clear communication throughout ED stay
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care across all age groups
• Remain calm and effective in high-pressure, emergency situations
• Delegate tasks appropriately based on team members' scope of practice

Work Environment:

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids reasonably anticipated
• Tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissues

Pay for Travelers:

Hourly Rate: Up to $69/hourWeekly Pay: $1,656/week with the following breakdown:

• Non-Taxable: $906/Week
• Taxable: $750Week
