We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for an Adult-Inpatient unit within a Psychiatric Hospital. The unit consists of 27 beds catering to adults (18 and above) with diagnoses such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorders, and Dual Diagnosis, as well as patients with Autism Spectrum/Intellectual Disabilities & Personality Disorders. Our care model follows a multi-disciplinary team approach focusing on pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy for effective patient recovery.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Assess patient care requirements by making rounds in all patient care units.
• Develop and implement staffing plans based on patient acuity and census.
• Serve as a resource to staff for clinical problem-solving.
• Respond to emergency situations and assist as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and ancillary staff to resolve issues.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Registered Nurse License.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• Minimum of three years of recent acute care RN experience.
• Leadership experience in the psychiatric field.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations.
