Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract, requiring registry certification and expertise in nuclear medicine procedures.

• Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
• Performs independent nuclear medicine procedures including radiopharmaceutical administration and imaging
• Shift is Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with four 9-hour shifts per week
• May have on-call responsibilities based on departmental needs
• May occasionally perform procedures in other imaging modalities
• Primary duties include the safe administration of radiopharmaceuticals, venipuncture, and operation of nuclear medicine equipment
• Responsible for patient flow coordination and adherence to radiation safety practices
• May be required to complete up to 24 hours of online modules during orientation
• Local radiology candidates within a 30-mile radius are accepted at the same rate
• No more than 14 days of requested time off will be considered for this assignment
• Professionalism in equipment care and exercising independent judgment are important aspects of this role

• Associate degree in Allied Health with a major in Nuclear Medicine Technology required
• Current CPR certification required
• Nuclear Medicine registry certification required
• Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure required; pending is acceptable
• ARRT RT(R) registry and/or NMTCB required
• License required if applicable
• Preferred one year of experience in specialized field of Nuclear Medicine, but new graduates accepted
