The MRI Technologist operates and prepares specialized MRI equipment to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures. This role requires applying technical judgment to produce diagnostic-quality images in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.

• Perform MRI imaging procedures using GE scanners.
• Position patients and coils to optimize image quality.
• Educate patients on the MRI procedure, explaining the process and any necessary instructions.
• Review patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI procedures.
• Ensure all MRI images are correctly labeled per departmental SOPs.
• Evaluate technical acceptability of images and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
• Complete documentation and image studies promptly in the Radiology Information System (IDX).
• Maintain cleanliness of MRI rooms and equipment, including linen management.
• Scan and manage patient-related documents.
• Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and accessories.
• Record patient tracking information accurately in IDX.

• Schedule exams in IDX as required.

• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.
• NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
• ARRT MRI Registry Certification.
• BCLS Certification.

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience, with GE scanner expertise preferred.
