  • Hillside Hospital is a 95-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care facility providing inpatient and outpatient services to Giles County and surrounding areas.
  • The position is for an RN/LPN in the Medical/Surgical unit with 1-2+ years of experience.
  • The role includes float requirements to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER with task assignments for OB and ER.
  • Patient population is primarily geriatric and adults, with typically only 3-4 pediatric patients per year.
  • The unit has 19 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5.
  • Equipment includes Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo at bedside in every room, Careview, telemetry, Sara Stedy, and ARJO lift.
  • EHR system used is Medhost.
  • Dress code allows any scrub color; print scrubs are unacceptable.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have RN or LPN/LVN certification/licensure to work in Tennessee.
  • Required certifications for RN: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
  • Required certifications for LPN: BLS, PEARS.
  • All clinical staff must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date with results required before starting.
  • Client reserves the right to require additional certifications not listed.
    Schedule Information
  • Orientation is weekly on Mondays.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours are 36.
  • Weekend hours rotate every other weekend unless there is a need for more frequent scheduling.
  • Call requirements depend on census; staff may be placed on call or floated.
