Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care on a 34-bed medical-surgical unit that manages acute medical-surgical patients with diverse diagnoses. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a compassionate and professional nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through effective nursing practices and procedures.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary support team, including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
• Utilize the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system efficiently.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including Blood Product Administration and Insulin protocols.
• Assist with post-operative care and manage patients undergoing treatments such as dialysis and neurosurgery.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based practice and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg RN experience required.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• West Virginia or Compact RN license; pending licenses may be accepted.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required.
• Ability to provide minimum 2 management or charge references within the past 2 years.
