Job Description:

We're seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist to join our laboratory team. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist, you'll play a critical role in performing laboratory tests and analyses to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Testing: Perform assigned laboratory tests and analyses accurately and efficiently, following established procedures.
• Specimen Processing: Prepare and process specimens for testing, ensuring accurate identification and logging.
• Quality Control: Ensure quality control criteria are met before releasing test results, repeating procedures as needed.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot instrumental and procedural problems, maintaining equipment and supplies.
• Training and Education: Assist with training technical personnel and maintaining current knowledge of laboratory policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification: Certified MT or MLS with ASCP, AMT, NCCLS, or equivalent certification.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Supervision

• Supervision Received: General supervision from Medical Director, Manager, Supervisors, and Section Heads.
• Supervision Given: None.

Work Environment

• Laboratory Setting: Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, performing tests and analyses on blood and other body fluids.
• Safety and Quality: Maintain awareness and compliance with safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures.
