Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Medical Lab Technician for a travel job in Meade, Kansas.

Job Description & Requirements

Shift: 8-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday)On-Call Requirements:

  • After-hours and weekend call rotation
  • Minimum: 1–2 weekday calls, 1 weekend per month, rotating holidays
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field (required)
  • MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred or eligible within a specified timeframe
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality
Responsibilities
  • Meet attendance and punctuality standards
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Maintain patient and system confidentiality
  • Laboratory Testing
    • Perform chemical analysis of body fluids (blood, urine, spinal fluid)
    • Conduct automated/manual hematology testing, including blood cell counts and morphology
    • Perform blood group, type, and compatibility testing for transfusions; record and enter results
    • Conduct urinalysis and serology testing; document results per protocol
    • Set up, read, and report results from bacteriological cultures
  • Quality Control & Equipment Maintenance
    • Perform quality control studies, document findings, and take corrective actions
    • Record and monitor daily temperatures of instruments, refrigerators, freezers, and lab rooms
    • Perform and document routine preventive maintenance on lab equipment
  • Specimen Collection
    • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed
