Travel Mammo Tech –
Position Summary Mission Hospital in Asheville is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join a dynamic team within a high-volume breast center. You'll play a critical role in delivering empathetic, high-quality imaging services to women with a history of cancer treatment and complex diagnostic needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Execute specialized views (e.g. magnification and spot compression)
- Collaborate directly with radiologists on complex cases
- Assist with procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, contrast-enhanced mammography, and pre-surgical localizations
- Float as needed to affiliated breast centers
Qualifications
Required Certifications & Training:
- ARRT (R) and (M) Mammography Certification
- BLS Certification
- MQSA Compliance:
- 40 hours initial mammography training
- Minimum 200 mammograms every 2 years
- 8 hours digital mammography training
- 8 hours tomosynthesis training
- IV Certification & sterile procedure competency
Must-Have Experience:
- Proficient in screening and diagnostic imaging
- Confident interpreting and presenting complex cases to radiologists
- Familiarity with Cerner and Penrad documentation systems
- Compassionate care mindset in a women's imaging environment
