• Beds: Max 20 patients
• Staffing: 2 RNs per shift; outpatient RN assists with admissions
• Certifications: BLS required
• Patients: Adults (18+) detoxing from opioids and/or alcohol
• Experience: Strong detox assessment skills; MedSurg required, psych preferred; phlebotomy & EKG skills; 1+ year exp
• IVs: None routinely; may start in emergencies
• EMR: Allscripts
• Charge Nurse: 1 of 2 RNs; takes patients; PCM on-site in business hours, phone support after hours
• Restraints: None; severe DTs transferred
• Support Staff: 2 techs each shif
• Telemetry: None; RNs perform EKGs if needed
• Call: None
• Floating: Rehab (sister unit), clinic, psych (escorted at night if needed)
• Scrubs: RNs – Royal Blue; LPNs – Kelly Green; PCTs/CNAs/MAs – Eggplant Burgundy
