Certification Details BLS State Licensure Job Details Manages a client's referral send out work coming to Mayo Clinic Laboratories (MCL) as directed by client management and governed by a client's business contract. Provides onsite customer service and is a resource to a client's clinical laboratory staff. Accountable for the management of biological specimens (e.g. blood, urine) receipt, verification, handling, aliquoting, processing and shipping if applicable. Responsible for order and specimen resolution, communicates with internal and external stakeholders, monitors assigned reports. Interacts with clients to resolve issues related to specimen submissions. Maintains MCL supply inventory. Duties may include pending lists, billing charges, Joint Test Catalog maintenance, quality metrics, scanning of results into the client LIS/EMR, assisting with test builds in the client LIS, and training of send out staff on the Mayo send out process. Occasional travel for ongoing training, education, or professional development is highly recommended, but not required. Job Requirements Previous laboratory experience preferred. Must be capable of multi-tasking and performing in a fast-paced and customer focused environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with others is essential. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality handling results, patient information and business interactions. Organized and capable of prioritizing work with limited oversight. Must possess good human relations skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Requires the ability to be attentive to details and to adhere to strict safety requirements for handling chemicals and infectious agents. Additional Details Previous laboratory experience preferred.
