Assignment Overview

• Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: Includes Pass/Fail Exam on Friday
  • Open book on skills taught during orientation
  • Must score 90%+ or will be terminated

• Beds: 4
• Births per year: 100–125
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Common Diagnoses:
  • Antepartum
  • Triage
  • Labor
  • Postpartum
  • Newborn
• Common Drips: Pitocin, Insulin, IV fluids, Antibiotics
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Charge Nurse: Yes – Non-assigned

• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of recent L&D RN experience – REQUIRED
• Certifications – All REQUIRED (must be AHA):
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
• License: Active RN license in state of assignment (submit-eligible)
• Education: BSN NOT required
• Radius Rule:
  • Must live 50+ miles from facility (verified via driver's license)
• Floating: Not required, but ability to task in Med-Surg is helpful
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Blocked Scheduling: Yes – Approved

• Cancellation Policy:
  • Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Submission Must Include:
  • Driver's license (to verify distance)
  • All valid certs (BLS, ACLS, NRP)
  • Clear indication of 1+ year of L&D experience
• BSN not required
