Job Details- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Circulates during C/Sections, attends deliveries assisting the physician as needed.
- Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.
- Attends the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and completely assesses the neonate post delivery.
- Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
- Able to identify necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients.
Job Requirements- Must have ACLS, BLS & NRP certifications; must be through the American Heart Association.
- Must have Basic Fetal Monitoring within 6 months.
- Must have Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring with recertification every 2 years or equivalent certification.
- Must have STABLE certification.
- Must have Wyoming RN license.
- Must have 2 years recent RN Nursery & Labor and Delivery experience.
Schedule Information- Guaranteed hours will be 48 with overtime starting at the 49th hour.
- Candidates will be required to float between the Lander & Riverton campuses.
Unit Specific Information- Unit involves Nursery and Labor & Delivery (L&D) settings.
- Role includes circulating during C/Sections and neonatal assessment post delivery.
