Location: Sacramento, CAUnit: Family Birthing Center – L&D + Mother/Baby/AntepartumShift: 12-hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend | First to FloatEMR: CernerTrauma Level: II

We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift travel assignment in Sacramento, CA. This position covers all aspects of delivery in a Level II Trauma Center's Family Birthing Center and includes L&D, antepartum, and postpartum care. Advanced fetal monitoring and the ability to work in the NRP role ( catching baby ) are highly preferred for night shift.

• Must have at least 2 years of recent L&D experience
• No first-time travelers
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring – copy required at submission
  • STABLE – preferred
• Must be comfortable circulating for C-sections and assisting with neonatal care
• Must be willing to float within the Sacramento region (rare mid-shift floats)
• Two supervisory references required (1 from the past 12 months, 1 within the last 3 years)

• Ratios: 1:2 L&D, 1:1 during delivery, 1:4 couplets for Mother/Baby
• OR Coverage: 2 RNs per C-section (1 for mom, 1 for baby)
• Support: Charge RN (break relief), Nurse Aides, 24/7 RT & Pharmacy
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrubs Provided
• Common Diagnoses: Term/preterm labor, high-risk OB, antepartum monitoring
• Baby-Friendly & Breastfeeding-Supportive Facility

• Self-scheduling available, finalized by nurse manager
• May be placed on call/standby with 30-minute response time
• No block scheduling guaranteed

• Must not have been employed (FT, PT, PRN) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
• Prior PRN work through outside agencies is acceptable
• Travelers must meet all compliance and submission documentation requirements, including references and advanced certs, at time of submission
