Job Description :

Maxim Healthcare is seeking travel nurses (RNs) for Private Duty Homecare positions in Anchorage, AK.

Earn a minimum of $2000 a week in Stipends, plus hourly wage, and travel reimbursement.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care in accordance with care plan developed for each individual patient and within the physician s orders. The RN provides service in accordance with Maxim s philosophy, standards and policies

Responsibilities

  • 26 Week Commitment
  • Minimum of 4/12 Hour Shifts a week (unlimited overtime)

Qualifications

  • 1-2 Years recent experience in nursing
  • G-Tube, Trach, Vent Experience
  • Active AK Nursing License
  • Enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help

Duties

  • Re-evaluates patient nursing needs regularly
  • Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services
  • Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
  • Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on nursing diagnosis and established goals
  • Assures patient safety at all times and recipient of services provided
  • Intervenes as applicable to changes in condition and reports such changes to appropriate supervisor and/or physician
  • Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
  • Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment including universal Precautions
  • Reviews plan of care, program protocols and identifies areas for for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs as applicable
  • Documents all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicates this information as needed.
