We are currently seeking a dedicated Travel Dental Assistant to join our expanding team! As a Dental Assistant (DA), you will play a crucial role in our care team, providing vital support to our office and assisting professional dental staff in treatments. Responsibilities:
- Provide quality and compassionate care to every patient.
- Assist parents of minors and patients through our treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative care instructions.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatment.
- Take X-rays and maintain patient charts (dependent on location).
- Ensure operational readiness of hygiene bays and operatory rooms.
- Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
- Mix amalgam, cement, and other materials as needed.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs, and rooms.
- Assist dental staff during treatment, including documenting patient information and treatment plans.
- Perform additional tasks such as suctioning, holding retractors, and suture cutting during surgeries.
- Pour, trim, and polish impression casts and fabricate custom impression trays.
- Adhere to all regulations, company standards, and compliance programs with integrity.
- Complete other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- SC X-ray Certificate.
- CPR-BLS Certification.
- Nitrous Oxide Certificate is preferred.
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
- Exhibit integrity by adhering to all regulatory, company, and compliance standards.
- Willingness to perform other assigned duties.
