Job DescriptionLocal Travel ER Respiratory Therapist - Chicago, IL 13-Week Contract | Nights | Up to $2,550/Week Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for an exciting Local Travel assignment in Chicago, IL. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment while exploring one of the most iconic cities in the U.S. Assignment Details:

• Location: Chicago, IL
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-Hour Nights)
• Compensation: Up to $2,550 per week (based on experience)
• Housing Stipend: Included
• Schedule: Every other weekend & holiday rotation
• On-Call/Call Back Requirements: None

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced respiratory care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and other life-support equipment
• Perform and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) and EKGs
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on respiratory protocols
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and devices
• Maintain accurate documentation using hospital charting systems (MediTech preferred)

Requirements:

• Licensure: Illinois RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner) license
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, and either CRT or RRT
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year in an ER or acute care setting
  • Proficiency with ventilators, ABGs, and EKG interpretation
  • Completion of at least one travel contract
• Charting System: MediTech experience preferred but not required
