POSITION SUMMARY: Primarily responsible for operating and maintaining radiographic equipment for all procedures performed in the cardiac Cath lab. Objective is to obtain optimal diagnostic images and provide optimal imaging for interventional procedures, while providing a safe environment for patients and personnel.MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of AMA Approved School in Radiography or Accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist Program. One year clinical experience required. Prefer Associate degree in Radiography/Specialized Training of one year.REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/ REGISTRATION: Registered by A.R.R.T./license byRegistered by A.R.R.T./license by I.D.N.S.· Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials (ARRT)Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS CPR or approved equivalent (must include infant through adult, one and two-man rescuer, use of AED, and choking with hands-on CPR skills return demonstration, and must be pre-approved by Org Dev/Human Resources).ENVIRONMENTAL/ WORKING CONDITIONS:. Regular exposure to risk of blood borne diseases.. Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards.. Regular exposure to infectious agents through daily contact and care of patients. REQUIRED PROTECTIVE CLOTHING: Lead apron, thyroid shield, eye and face protection, gowns, gloves, radiation film badge.RESPONSIBLE TO: Clinical Nurse Manager, Cardiac Cath Lab.
