Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Valid State License preferred at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred) Must-Have: Complex cases experience required Experience scrubing TAVRs and mitra clips Ability to circulate and scrub EP ablations and device placements Description: The Cath Lab Tech performs a variety of technical functions and patient care activities during procedures. The primary function is the operation of fluoroscopy in the Cath Lab. Responsibilities include monitoring procedures, scrubbing procedures, assisting with supply and equipment management, and other duties as assigned. The CV RTR staff may be cross-trained to electrophysiology procedures and support those cases as needed. The Cath Lab Tech may also assist in transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedures in a hybrid operating room. Candidates need to be able to scrub TAVRs and mitra clips. Experience with complex procedures, complex PCI, Impella, or balloon pump experience is essential. Staff may be required to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby. Epic charting experience is required. Candidates should not have any background or license hits. Return staff must be gone for six months or more. This position may require weekend availability when on call. The incumbent must be comfortable working night shifts during on-call hours. All candidates must provide references and copies of certifications upon application.
