General job duties. Types of procedures required.Provides direct, safe, competent and high-quality patient care in the Cardiology/Radiology department (Cath Lab). Supports the medical care of patients requiring various invasive cardiac, peripheral vascular and interventional and therapeutic procedures. Sustains a high level of patient care by communication with patients, families, physicians and co-workers to address the physical, general and psychosocial needs of the patient.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)Charting - Paragon, Med system - PyxisRequired skills and minimum years of experience.Must have relevant Cath Lab experience and have a willingness to share knowledge and complete tasks for other areas during slow times.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.NE or compact state RN license. ACLS and BLSShift or schedule requirements.8 or 12 hour shifts based on needs of the department. Monday through Friday either 0630-1500 or 0600-1830. Call required one evening per week and about every 5-6th weekend.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)Floating only to PACU when a second RN is needed to task or Endoscopy if there would be a great need. (would be very rare).Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.4 ORs, 1 hybrid/cath room, 1MPR and 1 C-section room.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.One or two RNS plush one CST in each ORDress Code:Casual to work, scrubs providedTell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.1-2 days of orientation with support as needed.
