Job Description :
  • Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a critical resource for the travel program
  • Deep expertise in federal travel processes and demonstrate a proven ability to collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Coordinate complex travel logistics, advising on travel matters, promote best practices, and support compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
  • Serve as a key advisor and subject matter expert on all aspects of agency-wide travel; demonstrate deep expertise in preparing and submitting travel requests and authorizations through the Concur Travel System
  • Provide authoritative guidance on both domestic and international travel activities, ensuring full compliance with agency policies and federal regulations
  • Act as the primary resource for employees' travel-related inquiries, concerns, or issues, delivering timely and accurate resolutions while upholding exceptional customer service standards
  • Mentor and support junior travel ambassadors, assisting with complex bookings and voucher processing, and proactively addressing and resolving travel-related challenges
  • Regularly review and analyze travel experiences agency-wide to offer actionable feedback and strategic recommendations to leadership, driving continual improvement of travel policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices
  • Oversee and track travel assignments, providing routine updates and detailed reports to ensure visibility and effective management across the organization
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Must have previous experience with booking and managing federal travel within Concur Travel System
  • Demonstrated expertise with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and other relevant travel policies
  • Experience coordinating travel arrangements, including planning, logistics, and troubleshooting
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior leadership, peers, and administrative staff
  • Strong political savvy; effectively navigates complex organizational environments and ability to build productive relationships
  • Ability to support proper handling of personally identifiable information (PII); exercises the highest standards of care in handling sensitive information, ensuring compliance with federal privacy regulations and internal policies
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; provides courteous, responsive, and professional service to both internal and external stakeholders, helping to foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Effective communicator; conveys complex travel regulations and information clearly, both orally and in writing, tailored to diverse audiences
  • Minimum degree: Bachelor's degree in any field
