About the Role

Benore Logistic Systems, Inc. is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead and oversee terminal operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional service. In this position, you will manage assets, optimize operational performance, and develop a high-performing team. This role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and strategic planning to drive operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team by supervising drivers, logistics specialists, clerical staff, and operations supervisors. Drive teamwork, accountability, and engagement through coaching, performance evaluations, and training programs.
  • Maximize operational efficiency by leveraging tractors, trailers, and CDL drivers to optimize routes, manage schedules, and achieve safety, financial, and service goals.
  • Ensure compliance and safety standards by enforcing DOT, OSHA, and CTPAT regulations, conducting safety checks, administering HOS rules, and overseeing accident investigations in collaboration with the Director of Safety.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships as the primary contact for terminal customers, anticipating needs and resolving issues to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Monitor and drive key performance metrics by tracking KPIs, analyzing data, and implementing improvements to enhance productivity, profitability, and service quality.
  • Conduct field checks and performance assessments through ride-alongs with drivers to evaluate safety protocols, route performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance by coordinating with maintenance teams and vendors to ensure well-maintained terminal equipment and infrastructure.
  • Administer payroll and manage employee scheduling to ensure accurate payroll processing and seamless operations.
  • Support hiring and talent acquisition efforts by participating in recruitment, interviewing candidates, and handling disciplinary actions to maintain a strong team.
  • Maintain and improve terminal infrastructure, ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Implement best practices for quality and compliance by enforcing ISO standards (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 45001) and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion communication and team cohesion by fostering transparent communication, leading meetings, providing updates, and encouraging feedback for a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Management, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred. An Associate's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience: 5+ years in transportation operations, logistics, or terminal management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and transportation management software (TMW, Peoplenet, SpeedGauge, Rand McNally, PCMiler).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of DOT compliance, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and C-TPAT best practices. Experience with OSHA standards and ISO certifications is beneficial.
  • Leadership & People Management: Experience leading teams, resolving conflicts, and fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze KPIs, optimize operations, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Organization & Multitasking: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
  • Integrity & Professionalism: Strong work ethic, integrity, and business judgment.
