The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.
JOB DUTIES:- Review and correct data from 72 Automatic Traffic Recorder (ATR) locations across the state on a monthly basis by comparing past data to the present.
- Generate a monthly ATR Report that is published for the public on the DOT's Website.
- Submit reviewed and edited ATR data to FHWA through TMAS (Travel Monitoring Analysis System).
- Review portable hose counts and radar counts from counties, interstates, ramps, and cities collected by the Traffic Counter Shop.
- Create and publish an Annual Continuous Traffic Count Data and Traffic Characteristics on Nebraska Streets and Highways book (Annual ATR Book).
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning, transportation planning, engineering technology, business, data science, physical sciences, geographic information systems, or a related field, plus one year of related experience. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications:- Relevant work experience in transportation planning or a related field..
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Apps, especially Excel for data manipulation and report generation.
Other:- Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Must be able to work an 8-hour workday day M-F, between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- This position does not offer remote work as an option, although flexible work hours are available.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: - Knowledge of KEDIT & Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Familiarity with IHI Database and SSRS reporting Portal.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with a limited amount of supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
