Transportation Officer San Diego CA - Starside Security & Investigation : Job Details

Starside Security & Investigation, Inc. Detention Services Division (DSD) is looking for Transportation Officers for Starside's Detention Accounts throughout California. Starside transports detainees for various state, local and federal governmental agencies throughout California, Arizona and Texas. Transportation Officers are responsible for the transportation and hospital watch of detainees.

Ideal Candidate

• Clean Background / Clear Credit / DMV
• Pass a Pre-employment Physical
• State issued Guard Card
• California, Arizona or Texas (Level III or IV) Exposed Firearms Permit, (9mm or 40 Caliber)
• 3 years of Law Enforcement, Corrections or Detention (within the previous 5 years)
• Ability to work with limited supervision and reports directly to Starside's Director of Detention Services and COO.
• Special Operations / Military a plus (DD214)
• All Starside employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Clearance

Compensation is $32.20 per hour plus $4.57 into a retirement account. Starside offers 80 Hours vacation and 56 hours of sick time after 1 year of employment, (as a percentage of full-time). Transportation Officers must pass a government background (no convictions, bad credit) and be approved by the agency.
