Transportation Driver Adult Day Health

Mentor Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Location: Brockton Adult Day, 764 N. Main St, Brockton, MA

Pay: $18/hour

Schedule: MondayFriday, Day Shift, Full-Time (40 hours)

Language Requirement: Bilingual in Cape Verdean Creole required

Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe transportation between individuals homes, day centers, agency programs, events, outings, and appointments.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles safely.
  • Perform lifts and transfers using proper body mechanics.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic daily maintenance checks.
  • Support staff at the day center by assisting with activities, meals, personal care, and bathroom assistance.
  • Provide assistance with daily living needs, including basic hygiene and mobility support.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 21 years old.
  • Minimum two years of driving experience.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license for at least one year.
  • Prior van driving experience preferred but not required.
  • Must pass a background check prior to hire.
  • Experience transporting older adults or individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Reliable, responsible, and compassionate work ethic.
