AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Chicago, IL focused on outdoor electrical, lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) engineering projects in Illinois and other states as needed. The engineer will work with senior engineers and mentor entry level engineers to perform assignments requiring application of standard electrical, lighting, and ITS techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. The desired candidate would have a desire to work on highway/roadway projects for Illinois DOT, Chicago DOT or other transportation agencies in Illinois including different aviation clients. Project work would focus on electrical (AC & DC) power distribution, roadway and area lighting, lighting control systems, electric utility coordination, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, communications, ITS, fiber optic systems, traffic signal design, and emerging technologies design across all modes of transportation.
