Transit Program Manager - Gannett Fleming : Job Details

Gannett Fleming's Transit and Rail Business line is looking for client focused, business savvy Program Manager to lead major programs within the New York Metro area. As Program Manager you will embrace a collaborative style, capable of coordinating with other business groups in the Northeast Region. Responsible for client relations in the region, leading a team of project and program managers between Boston to Philadelphia.

At a high level, this role will require someone with a track record of effective leadership and exceptional communication skills, capable of mentoring project teams, fostering collaboration with and inclusive approach to leadership.

Ensuring project teams work cooperatively to deliver projects on-time and on-budget. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, development, and controlling of major aspects of work associated with the assigned project. This includes direct responsibility for leading project delivery teams during procurement and overseeing design services during the construction phase of transit projects. Major responsibilities include:

• Lead development and execution of significant rail/transit projects including light rail, heavy rail subway, commuter rail, high speed rail, project pursuits and delivery.
• Establish relationships and interact with major clients in the New York Metro area.
• Staff and manage multidisciplinary transportation project teams during projects.
• Manage client expectations as well as engage with external contractors/consultants, working across various business lines internally in the firm.
• Function as a trusted advisor to clients by promoting collaboration and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leading engineering/PM positions on major infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Adept at managing scope/estimate on complex projects.
• Track and manage task budgets and schedule experience.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction.
• Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role.
• Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.
