Transfusion Service Lead - Northern Inyo Healthcare District : Job Details

The Transfusion Service Lead is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), with additional functions related to the supervision of the Transfusion Service and Serology sections of the NIH clinical laboratory. The Transfusion Service Lead is responsible for monitoring equipment, maintenance, quality control and records, troubleshooting, setting technical workflows, training, and competency assessment. The Transfusion Service Lead helps ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, AABB Standards, and state and federal law as it pertains to their area. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) is a professional state licensed position within the hospital clinical laboratory. A CLS is expected to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in all areas involving patients and their related hospital business.
